The Mangekyo Sharingan and the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan of Sasuke- What’s the difference?

The Mangekyo Sharingan and the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan of Sasuke- What’s the difference?

The standard Mangekyo Sharingan and the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan of Sasuke do resemble each other. However, there is one crucial difference that distinguishes them visually. The pattern, like any other Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, is a hybrid of the two brothers’ standard versions.

In Sasuke’s case, Itachi’s Mangekyo’s three-pronged shuriken pattern replaced the central pupils within Sasuke’s six-sided star pattern, though the prongs are now straight rather than curved.

The Mangekyou Sharingan is the Sharingan’s second stage before becoming the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. Only seven characters in the manga have been able to awaken the Mangekyou Sharingan, but Sasuke is the only one with an inverted pattern in the color scheme.

I will give all the details about these characters. Just stay connected till the end.

What is the difference between Sasuke’s Mangekyo Sharingan and his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan?

Mangekyou Sharingan users had a red iris with black pupils, but Sasuke had a black iris with red pupils. Sasuke awakened his Mangekyou Sharingan at a young age and paid the price of nearly losing his sight. The Mangekyou Sharingan bestows incredible new abilities on the user, but each time it is activated, the user begins to lose sight.

The pupil in the center is black and has a red flower petal-like pattern with black outlines. This is the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan of Sasuke. The pupil in the middle is red, and inside the flower petal pattern is a black shuriken-like shape. It’s similar to Itachi’s Mangekyou. Sharingan in that the pattern is similar to a shuriken, but it’s more curved.

Sasuke achieved EMS by transplanting Itachi’s eyes, which were failing due to overuse. Sasuke Uchiha is an important character who adds a lot to the series. Apart from his brother, who was responsible for their murder, Sasuke is the last surviving member of the Uchiha clan, and his path to vengeance leads him down a dark path.

How can you differentiate between Sasuke’s Mangekyo Sharingan and his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan?

Each mange yo Sharingan has his own set of abilities. However, after killing Itachi, he takes Itachi’s eyes and implants them to obtain an eternal mange yo Sharingan. As a result, Sasuke’s eternal mange yo Sharingan is complete.

The powers of management you share diminish with each use, gradually blurring your vision and eventually blinding you.

Sasuke obtains Itachi’s Sharingan pattern, which he then combines with his own to form this pattern. Sasuke also gains Itachi’s special abilities. Amaterasu and Amatsukuyomi were extremely powerful space-time-bending genjutsu.

Similarly, Madara and Izuna are affected. When Izuna dies, Madara inherits his mange yo, as well as his “three snake pattern.”

All in all, he has Itachi’s eye transplanted into him after nearly losing his sight due to excessive use of the Mangekyou Sharingan, thus awakening the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan.

Madara and Sasuke are the only two characters known to have used this method to awaken the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan: Madara and Sasuke. The design of the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan emphasizes the inverted nature of Sasuke’s Sharingan.

What do you know about Mangekyō Sharingan?

The Mangeky Sharingan means “Kaleidoscope Copy Wheel Eye”. It is a more advanced form of the Sharingan that has only been activated by a small number of Uchiha. They are described as “heavenly eyes that see the truth of all creation without obstruction.”

In Japanese as ; (tenj no kotowari o shakuhachi Hitomi).

How does a Mangeky Sharingan differ from a regular Sharingan?

A Mangeky Sharingan differs from a regular Sharingan in its appearance, which alters the shape of the tomeo seal.
While each user’s design is unique, they all resemble pinwheels. It is first triggered by the trauma of witnessing the death of someone close to the user.

All of the Sharingan’s generic abilities are retained by the Mangeky Sharingan. Furthermore, the Mangeky bestows powerful abilities that differ between each eye, even if the abilities are similar; both Sasuke and Itachi have access to Amaterasu’s flames, though the extent to which they can use them differs.

What do you know about Itachi and Amaterasu?

As Itachi has Amaterasu in one eye and Tsukuyomi in the other, the abilities of a Mangeky Sharingan may not even be the same for a single user’s eyes. Because each eye contains specific Jutsu techniques, they can only be accessed if they currently house the said eye, even if they were the technique’s originator.

We can see that Madara and Sasuke have Mangekyō Sharingan and Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan in common. While there are many other designs for anime-only users.

Why is each Uchiha’s Mangekyou Sharingan different from the others?

The mangekyou of each Uchiha is unique because each Uchiha possesses one or two unique abilities. Their unique abilities differ from Obito’s, who has Kamui and the ability to phase through anything, rendering physical attacks and ninjutsu ineffective for five minutes.

Madara is a character who can see through shadow clones, which even the Byakugan cannot do, and he appears to have another special ability to see about 3 seconds into the future, though I’m not sure about this.

Shisui possesses Kotoamatsukami, a genjutsu that can control an opponent’s mind, thereby controlling all five senses.

Some of the characteristics are listed here:

  • He can put you under this genjutsu without you realizing it and trick you into thinking you’re winning a fight when, in fact, you’re losing.
  • Itachi possesses Tsukuyomi, a genjutsu similar to Kotoamasukami in that it can manipulate time, making a second appear to be a day, a month, a year, a decade, or even a century.
  • He also possesses Amaterasu, which are black flames that are more powerful than regular fire. These flames will not go away until the target has been reduced to a chip.
  • Unfortunately, he can’t control them, so he wastes chakra by using it, especially when the target is missed.
  • He can’t even put them out, unlike his brother.
  • Sake Uchiha, like Itachi, has the Amaterasu anagram.

The only way to explain this is that “Uchiha” is more like a race like Chinese/British/African etc. where the eyes are a determining trait ability of the race, the mange yo you could call the unique part, such as how everyone has different DNA.

This would also help to explain how Sasuke and Itachi, being of the same family, allowed both access to the Amaterasu. I may only estimate this part, but there’s a chance Fugu may also have access to it.

Mangekyō Sharingan power

Would it be possible for two people with the Mangekyo Sharingan to swap eyes and gain the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan?

In theory, yes, but in practice, no.

Madara is said to have swapped his eyes with Izuna after his death to awaken the Eternal Mangekyo. EMS Madara was only seeing through Izuna’s eyes, not his own. Similarly, after obtaining the EMS, Sasuke had Itachi’s eyes.

However, when Madara and Izuna were both alive and had the ability to both awaken the EMS, they never switched eyes. It’s possible that they simply didn’t know, which begs the question of how Madara knew how to activate the EMS by swapping Izuna’s eyes moments after his death.

This leads to several conclusions.

  • The EMS is presumably only activated when a Uchiha swaps their eyes with the MS of a deceased sibling or another blood relative.
  • Or maybe this is just a plot hole — Izuna and Madara could’ve awoken the Eternal Mangekyos at the same time, but for whatever reason, they didn’t.
  • Madara didn’t switch eyes for the EMS but rather to overcome his blindness. Madara achieved an unexpected result with the EMS.

I think now you are familiar with the switching of these characters.

How can the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan be obtained?

The Sharingan is awakened by your emotions, specifically sad and angry emotions. Your share will have one tomoe when it awakens. These abilities include the trait of seeing chakra through most obstructions and reading lips.

The Mangekyou Sharingan (MS) provides you with the following benefits:

The MS also increases your base Sharingan abilities as well as your MS abilities.

Your customized design

The MS also bestows on you one or two new abilities that are unique to you.

Now we know the benefits of obtaining Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan and the best way to do so.

How did Sasuke get his hands on the Mangekyou Sharingan?

Double Lasers created Naruto and Manga. In Episode #141, titled “Truth,” Sasuke receives the Mangekyou Sharingan. It is set during the “Fated Battle Between Brothers” arc and contains manga chapters 400–402.

After witnessing his brother’s death, Sasuke obtained the Mangekyou Sharingan. He did not kill Itachi, but the experience was intense enough for Sasuke to receive the Mangekyou Sharingan.

The eyes are a higher-level form of the Sharingan that only a few Uchiha can wield. In times of great emotional distress, the Mangekyou Sharingan is activated. It is unique to the Uchiha clan and is one of the three primary Dojutsu eye-abilities, along with the Byakugan and the Rinnegan.

I think I was able to explain the Double Lasers of Naruto along with their reference from the episode. Right?

What is the distinction between mangekyou and eternal mangekyou Sharingan?

It grants all of the same abilities as the Mangekyo Sharingan, but it is far more powerful. The Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan allows the user to use the Perfect Susanoo while also putting far less strain on the body. More importantly, the user’s vision is permanently restored.

What is the eternal mangekyou Sharingan ability of Sasuke?

Following the death of this older brother, Itachi, Sasuke Uchiha awakened his Mangeky Sharingan. He can and will use his left hand to cast Amaterasu.  With his right hand, he can shape or extinguish flames.

All in all, there are distinct traits and abilities of the eternal Mangekyou Sharingan and Mangekyou.
