Differences Between ‘I Love You’ and ‘Luv Ya

Differences Between ‘I Love You’ and ‘Luv Ya

It doesn’t matter what kind of relationship you are in; communicating your emotions well is the key to happiness and peace of mind.

To say ‘I love you’ and ‘Luv ya’ are never the same. While the former is more meaningful, the latter is more casual.

I hope it is clear to all my readers that using the word love for someone doesn’t entirely mean that something romantic is going on there.

You can say ‘love you’ to your mom or dad, your friends, and, God forbid, your siblings too (sarcasm intended). The word love is just not limited to your lover or beloved.

I never thought a word like love could be so confusing for people until I heard someone asking about the difference between I love you and luv ya. So I thought, why not write something on this topic?

Let’s read something different today, something that may clear your confusion about the relationship you’re in. So, let us get going!

What Does It Mean When Someone Says Luv ya?

There is a general perspective that you can’t understand the definite feelings of a person unless you meet them in person. Everyone has a different way of expressing the same thing.

Mostly Luv Ya is used by people who are very young or in casual situations.

If you say it to someone you are serious with and want to convey your feelings to that person, you’ve done the wrong thing unless the other person knows you well.

Sometimes, friends say “luv ya” at the end of the conversation, just like that, casually, and it almost means nothing.

I’ve personally used Luv Ya several times with my friends and mum, and at the same time, I can not recall when I said it. It shows how normal it is to say these words to someone.

I am not saying Luv ya does not mean anything entirely. It is not something you say to someone you are about to propose for a wedding. Or you certainly do not add Luv ya to your wedding vows.

Do Luv And Love Mean The Same Thing?

Of course, Luv and Love mean the same thing. In fact, Luv is just a casual form of Love or it is a nonstandard spelling you use instead of love. Luv is also used to show love like the actual word is used but luv shows a lesser magnitude of affection.

Ah, the concept may not be that confusing, but these same sounding and different spelling words are making my head spin a bit.

Anyone in a serious relationship or about to propose that special someone should always use Love because it shows more consideration, affection, attraction, and consideration towards the other person.

If the word Luv is used in these circumstances, the situation will automatically become casual and less important. Trust me, people read into situations more than you think, especially regarding love and relationships.

Here are a few examples that will make the usage of Luv Ya and I Love You clear to you.

Is It More Romantic to Say “I Love You”?

Yes. At this particular moment, I can not recall anything more romantic than ‘I love you’. I mean how can you not want someone to genuinely hold your hand, kiss on your forehead, and reassure you that they love you.

For me and a lot of people, I love you is not just how someone shows their liking towards you, it is a commitment from one person to another that shows how they are there for you whenever you need them. It assures you can trust them, and the list continues.

Imagine fighting with your significant other and, in that very moment, in the middle of the fight, when that person has nothing to say, and he or she ends up doing everything just by saying I love you. Tell me, what is more romantic than that?
