What Are The Differences Between The Light And Dark Side Of The Force? (War Between Right And Wrong)

The movie “Star Wars,” which is a space opera film, was originally written and directed by George Lucas in 1977. It was the first release of Star Wars, which was the fourth episode of Skywalker.

Other than writing and directing “Star Wars”, George has the privilege of working on the Oscar-winning series Indiana Jones.

Interestingly, this movie doesn’t revolve around a specific structure. It is so flexible that any story can be incorporated into the Star Wars universe.

If you’re interested in the Sci-Fi or fantasy genre in the cinematic universe, you have probably been following Star Wars or it must be somewhere on your priority list.

Someone who hasn’t followed the sequels may not know the difference between the light and dark sides of the force. Before getting into it, it’s essential to learn about Jedi and Sith.

As the story develops, you get to see that there are two lords, Jedi and Sith, who’re living peacefully without having any war with each other.

Jedi are monks and have a light side of the force. They want to keep peace in the Galaxy. Sith, being the opposite of Jedi, have a dark side of the force and keeps killing the other Siths in their world.

Since the Sith don’t let emotions override their powers, they are considered stronger. In contrast, the Jedi live simply and see the world from a religious perspective, thereby weakening their powers.

It’s important to understand that it’s easier for the beginner or intermediate dark-siders to beat the light-siders who are at the same level. But only a master light-sider can beat a master dark-sider because they’ve learned to control their emotions.

This article is all about answering your queries related to Star Wars, so let’s take a deep dive into it…

Differences Between Sith and Jedi

There’s a feudal system in the world of Sith Lords. Thus, they kill each other to reach the top of the Sith Lord hierarchy. The series of killings continued until there were only two powerful lords left. Rule of two states that there must only be two Sith lords—master and apprentice—so if there’s a third one, they would kill him.

Among the remaining two Jedi lords, one was the master and the other was the apprentice. To keep the first apprentice in line, the master would keep looking for another apprentice and kill the older one after training the new one.

The Brotherhood of Darkness could only exist when there were only two Sith Lords, so this vicious cycle continued.

On the other hand, Jedi were far from killing and fighting. The only thing they wanted to bring to the galaxy was peace. Sith practiced the dark side of the force, whereas Jedi practiced the light side of the force. It’s interesting to note that Jedi also had the dark side of the force, though they wouldn’t practice it. As much as possible, they would refrain from killing others.

Who’s Anakin’s Father?

Many people believe that Palpatine was the father of Anakin, which isn’t true. The creation of Anakin was the result of the ritual performed by Palpatine and his master.

Anakin was the most powerful Jedi who ever lived. You may wonder if Anakin was powerful and why he couldn’t defeat Obi-Wan in a duel that happened at Mustafar.

The duel between Anakin and Obi-Wan was of mental strength more than physical strength. None of them won the duel. The match at Mustafar was a tie.

Is Rey A Skywalker?

The bloodline of Rey makes her Palpatine. Since she was adopted into a Skywalker family, she was later identified as a Skywalker.

Many Star Wars fans disagree with the idea of her being a Skywalker. The movie develops the concept that Rey doesn’t need a family to define herself, but in the end, she chooses to be a Skywalker.

It has been argued that Rey should rather be a solo because that is the name given to people without families.

Who Killed Obi-Wan Kenobi?

“A New Hope” depicts Darth Vader killing the greatest Jedi Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi.

A lightsaber duel takes place between Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi. The great Jedi Master allows Darth Vader to choke himself into pieces.

If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine,”

Obi-Wan said in the movie.

He let the Sith Lord sacrifice him because he wanted to give himself to the force. You’ll notice that he was the only Jedi except Yoda who disappeared after death.

Upon being cut into pieces, he disappeared as only his body had died. He became a force ghost because his energy remained.
